Welcome to PickAPunt Cheltenham Festival 2024. A free competition where you pick a horse in every race, win or each way, to climb up the leaderboard and compete for prizes.
Pick a horse in each of the 28 races at the 2024 Cheltenham Festival to become the inaugural PickAPunt Champion! Enter on each day of the festival and check up on the leaderboard to keep track of your progress. As this is the very first PickAPunt, all feedback is welcomed. You must have signed up to PickAPunt to enter (don’t worry, it’s free) and entries for each day will be made via a Google Form.
Overall Leaderboard
Rules
- Pick 1 Horse in each race
- Select Win or Each Way
- Stake is 1 point per race (1 point win or 0.5 points each way)
- Each way will be settled as standard place terms
- 5 – 7 runners: 1/4 odds, 2 places
- 8 or more runners: 1/5 odds, 3 places
- Handicaps of 12 – 15 runners: 1/4 odds, 3 places
- Handicaps of 16+ runners: 1/4 odds, 4 places
- 4 runners or less, all bets will settled as 1pt win
- Each player has a “Joker” available to use on one race each day, where the stake is doubled to 2 points (2 points win or 1 point each way)
- Results will be settled at industry SP (Starting Price)
- Profit is added up for each player which determines the leaderboard
- If your selected horse is a non-runner, then your stake will go onto the SP favourite to win. If there are joint SP favourites, it will go onto the lowest number on the racecard
- You must submit an entry every day to qualify for the overall leaderboard
- Day 1 entries will open at 4pm on Monday 11th March
- Entries for days 2, 3 & 4 will open at 6pm the day before
- Entries will close at 1.15pm on each day
- One entry is permitted per person. If more than one entry is received for a person, then the earliest entry will be counted
- Once an entry is submitted, it can’t be changed
Prizes
- Overall winner (highest profit) at the end of Day 4 will receive £100 racecourse voucher
- Overall second at the end of Day 4 will receive a £50 racecourse voucher
- Overall third at the end of Day 4 will receive a £25 racecourse voucher
- The winner of each day (highest profit per day) will receive a £25 racecourse voucher
- In the result of a tie, the winner will be determined by the tiebreak question (the nearest answer wins)
- In the result of a tie where the same tiebreak answer has been given, the winner will be decided by the biggest price winner
- If multiple leaders had the same biggest price winner, the winner would be decided by the number of race wins
- Winners will be contacted via email no later than Tuesday 19th March 2024
